Yesterday in Polish media appeared sad news about the death of Gayga, popular singer of the 80's. She cooperated with Din band and her most famous songs was „Ja ruchomy cel” and „Graj nie załuj strun”. In the 90's she was creating dance music under MC Diva pseudonym and her most recognizable track was „Dziewczyna z St.Pauli”. Her unique style and artistic creativity will stay forever in our minds. R.I.P.

Promised changes on this page for some time were finally fulfilled. Their announcement was the emergence of a new logo-watemark on photos from previous reports.

Since today River's Edge project has officially new graphic design and logo visible at the upper left corner! Everything was made by 2 persons. First of them is a man who is known as Odyn. He made a new design and made the logo. Everything is kept of course in 8-bit mood what follows with one of my long-term passions. :)

Implementations of a new graphic design to Dokuwiki system was made by Rafal Szyja (his website - KLIKNIJ) who additionally programmed sliding menu. It would replace the existing one, but the left sidebar menu will still be functional and will include new details. I would like to thank both persons for the execution of a piece of good work!

Since the new desing is still in the process of tests there is a possibility, that something can not yet work properly. However, all was verified on a number of popular browsers and everything worked fine. :) There is still a number of pages to update, for example by removing the old logo etc.

I would like to notice, that because of technical reasons it is recommended to watch this page in minimal horizontal resolution of 1280 pixels.

On 20-21th of September 2010 in Koszalin (Poland) will be 30th anniversary edition of Rock Festival Generacja. On amphitheater stage at Piastowska street will perform following Polish bands: allmost, Calm Hatchery, cropla, Maigra, Materia, Merry Pop Ins, and Trauma.

This time something for a fans of a thrash metal sounds - report from concert of Witchrite from Gorzow Wielkopolski, Headbanger from Szczecin and Violator from Brazil which held few days ago in SCK Kontrasty in Szczecin under name Metal Maniacs Attack Summer 2010!. At the event was also invited Fueled By Fire from USA, but because of some random reasons they couldn't arrive to our town.

In the report as usual you will find some photos and movies. Have a nice lecture! If you want to see again Violator (and this time perhaps together with Fueled By Fire) in action, they will perform in several countries, also once again Poland (20th of July), exactly in Bydgoszcz (for more information - CLICK)!

This year HanseStadtFest, organized pararelly in two neighbouring towns - Polish Slubice and German Frankfurt/Oder, was full of more interesting music events. Especially at ours western neighbors we couldn't grumble about lack of attractions. In one evening on the scene played two 80's and 90's legends: Snap! and Kim Wilde.

Time to present some delayed reports from concerts and music events. Firstly let me introduce you to a report from Drum'n'Bass event named Burn Da City vol. 2 which took place one month ago at Aleksandrow Lodzki in Poland. More DJ's were presented there, such as Sideswipe, Sugarbeet, Ardee, Atmosphere, Bolty (main organizer), Exwookie and Crim, supported by MC Krolas and Wajti.

One week ago our humble thresholds in Szczecin visited Portuguese band More Than A Thousand, that combines both melodic and heavy playing from the borderline of rock and metalcore. Theirs performance was supported by a local bands The Throne and Dead On Time.

During last few months I was mainly doing translations of existing reports and also I've written outstanding ones. Whole thing is a specific document which shows a view and character of all computer parties or scene meetings in which I've attended. Berlin Scooter's concert was one of few organized for the tour promoting new album „Under The Radar Over The Top” in 2010. Show full of lights and pyrotechnic effects and also colorful visualisations attracted few thousands of people in Treptow Arena.

Yesterday new issue of C64 discmag Attitude #10/Oxyron got released, where you can find an interview with me. Mainly it's focused on scene things and keeped in „washing the old grimes” mood. You can find also this interview here at River's Edge project. Have a nice reading.

Continuing themes about Commodore 64 I would like to present Description of Limon v1.1/Tropyx tool for sample conversion and few basic information about sampling. This publication is dedicated mainly for people who are working or wants to start the adventure with sample treatment on C64. Article has more interesting informations, for example description of the program, his properties, keys and valuable tips which have to help while using of the converter.

Let me introduce you for an interesting interview with Mr. Waldemar Czajkowski, the creator of a thematic series of cassettes with games for Commodore 64. Let's make the journey in time and learn the history of creation and distribution of those tapes into the 1/3 of Polish country! Mr. Waldemar was a pioneer of those tapes, moreover he sold probably biggest amount of them (a few hundred thousands) from all of the people and companies which were doing the same around breakthrough of 80's and 90's! He also collaborated with famous Robert King (author of many freezed games on C64), creators of Black Box and Mian Box and also with famous software and hardware distributor - Atrax. About this and other things you will know while reading the transcription of an interview, which is also currently biggest publication on my site according to the quantity of contents contained therein! The past year brought many interesting events, among which worth mentioning is the successful return of many stars on the music scene. In 2009 came out superb albums, such as: Ziyo - Puzzle, Rolf Maier Bode - Thirteen Stories, Sandra - Back To Life, The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die, Depeche Mode - Sounds Of The Universe, Scooter - Under The Radar Over The Top and Łosowski - Zaczarowane Miasto. Let us wish, that the next 365 days will bring to us many new events, not only in the sphere of music, but overall of social and artistic!

From my side I can only promise that River's Edge will continue to have successive progress, presenting more and more interesting writing publications. So I invite you to read on, and once again wish you all the same goodness in 2010!

Today the new release from my C64 scene group Tropyx has been released! Limon v1.1 - an improved version of a tool coded by Data/De-Koder/Tropyx and tested by myself!
